I am a chief researcher in The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK), National Research Institute of Electronics&Cryptology (UEKAE).

 

Currently, I am on leave, and working with Prof. Jeffrey S. Vitter as a visiting assistant research professor at Texas A&M University, Department of Computer Science and Engineering.

 

My main research area is algorithms and complexity, especially in text processing, and currently focused on compressed data structures for text indexing. 

 

I have completed my Ph.D. study in Computer Science at Sabanci University (2006) under supervision of  Prof. Kemal Oflazer.
