I am a chief researcher working at National Research Institute of Electronics & Cryptology (TÜBİTAK-BİLGEM-UEKAE), Turkey. I pursued my Ph.D. degree from Sabancı University, Department of Computer Science & Engineering in 2006. My advisor was Prof. Kemal Oflazer.

I have spent Fall-2009 and Spring-2010 semesters working at Texas A&M University, Department of Computer Science & Engineering  as a research assistant professor under supervision of Prof. Jeffrey S. Vitter.

My main research area is algorithms and computation, especially focusing on text algorithmics, both from theoretical and practical perspectives.
